as you pass the wall lingers, we made w/ Adriane Bastiaens

At the site of Eight Cubic Meters, the concrete wall seems to be static, yet is constantly touched by rain, wind, heat and passing gazes. A poem is written in response to the environment, and the poem is cast into concrete plates of 4mm thickness.
Concrete cracked and broke under its own weight and changing surroundings. Its linguistic form (a poem of passing and lingering) was thus continuously reshaped by material change. The windows became a place where the slow time of concrete encounter the fleeting time of the passer-by.
